PG&E is aggressively transitioning to a low-carbon fleet of hybrid and electric vehicles and is the first utility in the nation to own an all-electric bucket truck. In collaboration with partners like theCalifornia Corporate College, our PowerPathway Clean Tech Vehicles Training Network enlisted seven community colleges whose faculty we trained on manufacturer’s proprietary technology. Not only are these colleges able to teach this new skill set in their communities, they also play a role in upskilling PG&E employees to maintain our clean fleet. This program has become one of great interest to the California Energy Commission as a model of delivery.
